Rauh Jewish History Program & Archives at the Heinz History Center

Rodef Shalom Congregation in Charleroi, Pa. was established as early as 1914 and chartered in late 1924. The congregation built a synagogue on Washington Avenue in 1926 and used the building until 1967, when the congregation merged with Congregation Kneseth Israel in nearby Monessen, Pa.
